Randy Walker

Randy Walker is the President of Dunes Properties and a founding member of Dunes Commercial Properties. Dunes Properties is a boutique real estate firm and also markets and manages many vacation rental homes and condominiums on the Charleston Coast. 

Randy began his career in 1981 on Fripp and Harbor Islands, selling oceanfront properties mostly to second homeowners from the Southeast. He was soon recruited to help ramp up resort sales at the Wild Dunes resort on the Isle of Palms.

After several years and several management changes within the Wild Dunes Resort, Randy pulled a "Jerry Maguire" in January 1989 and, along with a few top producers, set up shop on the Isle of Palms as Dunes Properties of Charleston, Inc.

In 2014, Randy leveraged his experience in high-profile commercial transactions, including office and retail leasing, multi-unit residential sales, waterfront commercial properties, and large tracts of land for development, to co-found Dunes Commercial Properties.  With Randy's leadership and guidance, the company swiftly earned a reputation as a trusted expert in the Charleston market.

Through perseverance and a knack for hiring fantastic agents, the company experienced tremendous growth, surviving through drastic changes in the market, including the full blown housing crisis of the Great Recession. Thanks to Randy's dedication and creativity, Dunes Properties is currently thriving with 4 offices, 65 sales agents, and 25 employees.

When he's not running Dunes Properties, he's swinging a golf club, biking or surfing. Randy lives in James Island with his wife, Kristin Badger Walker, an agent at the Mount Pleasant office of Dunes Properties 

p.s. Little-known fact: Randy actually began beach sales during college years in the summers, disguised as a Myrtle Beach lifeguard, mostly hawking suntan lotion, renting umbrellas and rafts. "I've always loved the beach and the ocean!"
